Kintsugi Ritual Cup
Ritual cups have been used in cultures and spiritual traditions spanning the globe for thousands of years.
In this collaboration with Tracie Hervy, we were inspired by the 500-year-old Japanese art of kintsugi, the art of golden repair. The lip of each cup has been brushed with white gold prior to firing.
MATERIALS: Porcelain and white gold.

MEET THE MAKER
Tracie Hervy is a ceramicist based in New York, where her education began in the studios of Greenwich House Pottery. She has an MFA in ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her most recent work is inspired by the purity and simplicity of prehistoric vessels.
